Match Reports

22 11 09 - Blyth 7 -1 North Shields Juniors

Great performance first half that resulted in some well worked pieces of play and two touch football.  Unfortunately this did not continue, with the second half producing a disappointing display with some players missing in action.

Goal of the game came from Cameron Marshall who put in a tremendous performance that earned him Man of the Match from both Blyth and his manager.

Well done to stand in keeper Scott Attrill, Mark Packham who is improving game by game (and narrowly missed out on Manager's MoM), Joel Robson and Ben Johnson, with flashes of good play from the remaining players.

Team - Keep playing the football that is earning you positive comments and good reviews from other teams and the results will come.  It is a frustrating time for all, but we will get there.   

 

15/11/09 - Tesco cup - Montagu 10 - 1 North Shields Juniors

A scoreline that flatters the opposition.  Under difficult circumstances in an uncomfortable game the ten men of North Shields (that went down to 9 players for the last 15 minutes of the game) outplayed their opponents with their footballing skill and ability.  They stuck to their task of passing and moving with the ball that led to some excellent well worked pieces of play and were unlucky that their efforts were not rewarded more.  Well taken goal by Mark Packham, who along with the rest of the team was given a torrid time by Montagu.  From back to front a solid team performance and pleased with everyone.  Fantastic goalkeeping by stand in keeper Harry Carr again.  Montagu's MoM went to Mark Packham with Corey Chapman receiving the Manager's MoM.   

 

18/10/09 - Heaton Hawks 0 - 4 North Shields Juniors 

A solid team performance that produced some well worked pieces of play.  Special mention to Declan McIntire and Scott Attrill for their contribution with Heaton's Man of the Match Mark Packham delivering on the job that he was asked to do with a well deserved hat trick.  Congratulations to Liam Higgins on his goal and unlucky that his other efforts were ruled offside as was Declan. 

Manager's Man of the Match is shared between Ben Johnson and Nathan Marshall.   

 

11/10/09 - U13PR - 2nd round Tesco Cup.  North Shields 11 - 0 Newcastle Westgate.

04/10/09 - WBBC Whites 2 - 2 North Shields Juniors

The training session last Thursday was justified by the excellent, strong performance displayed throughout the team in this match. Extremely satisfied with the response shown by the players to play with the skill and ability that know they possess. Two well taken goals by Liam Higgins.

Manager's Man of the Match performance by Nathan Marshall, closley followed by Declan McIntire.

WBBC Man of the Match went to Captain Gary Latimer.

27/09/09 - North Shields Juniors 0 - 7 Newcastle City Milan
Least said soonest mended the motto for this game. Well done to stand in keeper Harry Carr for his performance throughout the game.

20/09/09 - Wallsend BC 5 - 0 North Shields Juniors
A much stronger team performance that unfortunately is not reflected in the scoreline. Wallsend took advantage of their chances and punished Shields. Shields failed to capitalise on their good work and possession of the ball. A game of missed opportunities. If it was not for the good work of stand in keeper Harry Carr it could have been more.

06/09/09 - Divisional Cup Round 1 - North Shields Juniors 3 - 1 WBFC Milan
Scorers were Gary Latimer, Sean Blake and Liam Higgins.
Man of the Match awards went to Sean Blake by the opposition and Manager's MoM choice was Liam Higgins.

01/09/09 - North Shields Juniors 1 - 4 WBBC Whites
Scorer Scott Attrill. WBBC MoM - Jake Cooper, NS MoM - Scott Attrill.

An excellent perfomance by the team that is not reflected by the result. North Shields unlucky not to take advantage of chances and dominated the second half of the game.
